The Universal Declaration of Animal Rights.
The statement, proclaimed on October 15, 1978, was approved by the Organization of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), followed by the United Nations Organization (UNO).
UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF THE RIGHTS OF ANIMALS.
Preamble.
Animal Whereas all have rights.
Whereas disregard and contempt for those rights have led and continue to drive men to commit crimes against nature and against the animals.
Whereas recognition of the human rights of the existence of other species Animal is the foundation of the coexistence of species in the world. Whereas
man commits genocide and there is the threat of committing further.
Whereas respect for animals by humans is linked to the respect of men among themselves. Considering that education should be taught from childhood, to observe,
understand, respect and love animals.
It proclaims:
Article 1.
All animals are born equal and they have the same rights to existence.
article 2.
a) Every animal is entitled to respect.
b) The man in the animal species, can not assume the right to exterminate other animals or to operate violating that right. You are obliged to put their knowledge at the service of the Animals.
c) All animals have the right to health, care and protection of man.
Article 3.
a) No animal shall be subjected to bad treatment or cruel actions.
b) If required the death of an animal, it must be sudden and without fear or pain.
Article 4.
a) All animals belonging to a wild species have a right to live free in their natural environment, land, air or water, and reproduce.
b) Any deprivation of freedom, even for educational purposes is contrary to that law.
Article 5.
a) Any animal of a species living traditionally in the human environment, right to live and grow at the pace and conditions of life and freedom that are typical of their species.
b) Any change to this rhythm and conditions that was imposed by man for commercial purposes is contrary to that law.
Article 6.
Animal All that man has chosen as a partner is entitled to the duration of life is according to their natural longevity.
Article 7.
Animal All work is entitled to a reasonable limitation of time and intensity of work, adequate food and rest.
Article 8.
a) Animal experimentation involving physical or psychological suffering is incompatible with animal rights, whether in medical experiments, scientific, commercial or any other form of experimentation.
b) Alternative techniques should be used and developed.
Article 9.
when an animal is raised to the power supply must be fed, and transported and slaughtered, but it is for him cause for anxiety or pain.
Article 10.
a) No animal should be exploited for entertainment.
b) Animal exhibitions and shows that use animals are incompatible with the dignity of the animal.
Article 11.
Any act that causes the death of an animal without a biocide, ie, a crime against life.
Article 12.
a) Any act that causes the death of a large number of animals is genocide, that is, a crime against the species.
b) Pollution and the destruction of the natural environment leads to genocide.
Article 13.
a) A dead animal should be treated with respect.
b) Scenes of violence in which animals are the victims should be banned in movies and on television unless it is for the demonstration of attacks on animal rights.
Article 14.
a) Institutions for the protection and safeguarding of the animals must be represented at government level.
b) Animal rights must be defended by law, such as human rights.
