probably more than one reader will have noticed my disdain for religion. I have sufficient reasons to justify this rejection of all forms of religious dogma. Each Theosophy is labeled to own the truth, his truth, absolute, single, with its religious God imposes his commands through his overseers, pastors, priests and sacred cows. In their own words and adults each side proclaims absolute totalitarian and dogmatic certainties, trying to differentiate from each other. But if you analyze history objectively and beyond "hits" each and every one of these religions will realize they share if not in its generality, yes in most aspects of its fundamental characteristics ridiculous, deceitful, violent, manipulative and terrorists .
a couple of years ago, I think, by a twist of fate I found the title of a book that caught my attention for its brutality. The book was called "The Whore of Babylon." At that time gave no importance, I imagined that it was a listed condemning the corruption of a particular Church, which did not surprise me in the least know who the owners of Religion, so I did not give importance. Some months ago, I became certain circumstances to cross with that headline, and to, once and for all be clear that it was decided to investigate the matter.
In the past, reading the Bible I had met with the story of "two sisters", a symbolic something erotic story which mentioned Babylon and the myth of literal or metaphorical whores. Additionally had access to a publication called "The great clown" which questioned the rites, dogmas and general paraphernalia of the Church Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church by members of a religion more antagonistic sister. All this information is added to the personal testimonies of people throughout time have exposed the vile acts committed by religious business owners, or reports, and documentaries that expose corruption that have been developed, and occur in different religions of the world, besides being published regularly.
So he started figuring out who himself was the author of that book. I soon learned that it was a Colombian Fernando Vallejo. "Colombia!" I said with some annoyance, the Land of Uribe, Santos, Marulanda, García Márquez and all of that almost endless array of characters and background infected and reprehensible as common in that land as well known for its good pure coffee and cocaine. I proceeded to download the book online, promising to read it in the future. I do not remember if that day or in the immediate subsequent chose to seek information about the author in a video community. Searched and searched I found a documentary on Vallejo, immediately downloaded the first video and then, and I must admit to how interesting and entertaining apparently follows.
After reviewing the entire document, abstracting from the vagaries and truths of the character investigated, I was struck by the adjective "provocative" a woman passing on to Vallejo. Given that, it is clear that sometimes the Colombian boasts verbal excesses that could be confused with intolerance, as well as a marked absolute nihilism and cynicism literal, perhaps showing a lack of confidence in humanity, understandable considering the violence so characteristic of human species. But in others, however, appears as a fierce but objective complainant of the ills of society. Is it fair to describe as "provocative" to anyone who dares to label as criminal is a criminal that bad time in power? Yes or no? In its positive sense, maybe, definitely not in the negative. But how do we know the true intentions of those who are branded as "provocative." A thinker ever to repudiate morality of the time sinister said that "in times of tyranny, to say the truth is an act of rebellion." A glaring displays of the relative and subjective human behavior.
Well after watching this documentary I decided it was worth reading the book and then printed out the document and left it ready for future reading. And it was. Vallejo
proper seating starts leaving his intentions, his "love and affection" for the college, in addition to their beneficiaries and servile lackeys opulent, bursting into a series of descriptions and assessments that seem redundant but apparently that only seek to place in place of "honor" a mother and children of known religious tradition, as well as costly, brutal and deceitful business.
From the beginning notes that the title of "The Whore Babylon is not unprecedented, but was drafted for a very long time ago by a Christian religious group known as the Cathars or Albigenses, who questioned the prevailing corruption of religion at that time ie the Catholic. Vallejo stated that tells the brutal manner in which the Pope, a sort of feudal king of fierce and fearsome provided armies with which imposed its abuses infallible, complete persecuting, torturing, slaughtering and virtually erased from the face of the earth "heresy "Cathar" and all his followers.
Subsequently, the Colombian writer making use of sarcasm and mocking cynicism tells the immorality of the representatives of the Catholic God, The Popes, especially those whose felonies and acts of sadism, sodomy, profiteering and vicious brutality had made them famous throughout history, to anger and misery of future Catholic priests , Apostolic and Roman addition to their faithful devotees.
While trying to play the role of complainant's insatiable corruption of those who claim to be simple human beings go through infallible, Vallejo recounts the origins of the Catholic Church, the plot that would have existed between a faction of religious and political power An Emperor corrupt, knowing the power of religion over the masses decide to impose a particular religious dogma, religion, theirs to others, and do so with ferocity and authoritarianism, bloodily eliminated any opposition.
more than one occasion in Vallejo is limited to recruiting thinkers with his judgments or assessments, philosophers, having been born among the centuries surrounding the alleged birth of Jesus, before and after it, questioning its existence, the veracity of the Gospels and their origin, in addition to that, according to Vallejo, make a critical assessment of any bias away from dogmatic and any subjectivity from the influence of faith.
The content of the Bible and the veracity of it, is constantly questioned on the basis of lack of evidence showing that such statements were developed by the authors attributed the Bible itself. In addition, questions the objective historicity of the great majority of biblical writings, because of certain inconsistencies chronological, describing the case of the Old Testament as mere myths created by the Jews, more than anything to have a bond of unity and pride in their people. The New Testament and its main players are also challenged on the basis of the absence of historical documents that guarantee the existence of strongly real Jesus and his disciples.
Issues such as subjectivity, unreliable translations, individual and group perceptions, political and economic interests, appetites, religious, unprovable dogmas, the continuing contradictions, the absence of a detailed description of many Bible stories by serious historians of those times, absolutism and totalitarianism of many biblical passages, among other reasons, are designated as arguments by various thinkers, who used Vallejo to test their views.
But despite the interest or favorite would apparently Colombian writer for the Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church, the truth is that Vallejo, extended its range of criticism of religion in general, hence Judaism, Protestantism, Anglicanism, Islam and in general all existing theosophies, considered infallible, absolutist and immaculate by its creators and adherents gregarious, are censored and unmasked with a verb excited sometimes though not without arguments.
I do not want to go further in terms of developing the views and criticism of Fernando Vallejo in his analysis of what the Cathars justly exterminated came to call "The Whore of Babylon." Suffice it to this brief synopsis. Surely more than one reader of this blog already had in their hands the book of the controversial Colombian controversial for his extravagance and debauchery, not by the exercise of freedom of expression, something certainly worthy of attention and consideration. The book contains opinions and arguments worthy of consideration, with parliaments deserve to be read or heard, with criteria that are difficult to be in the papers of the famous and filthy rich soap opera scriptwriters pink.
"The Whore of Babylon" is a book worth reading, if you really are interested in an opinion critical about the dark origins of Christianity, in addition to the Catholic religion and his equally brazen, brutal and shameless sisters religions. It is important to know who made claims, such that embarrassed some and infuriate others. Few things are as satisfying as knowing the reality of the facts and the demystification of absolute truths. History is saturated with "truths" false and deceitful, but, by the nakedness of religious legends, stories chimeras and liars we can be reasonably sure of what really happened, or could not have happened. An interesting and entertaining book, honestly I should note, I enjoyed reading; truth that I am unique and truthful witness.
