State Security versus Civil Liberties.
This morning I learned that the Civil Registry, once again, promoted a new type of identity card. In a medium of communication, a bureaucrat who was once alluded overjoyed, actually, it was a document that was impossible to forge, same promise that years ago this same government, I believe, another bureaucrat, advertised as having similar celebration, saying quaintly it was "impossible to clone."
The new card would have 16 security features, they insist, the invulnerable to any attack again trickery. On the surface it sounds good, within the generality. But I do not know, I doubts and suspicions arise, it is impossible to rely on a corrupt bureaucracy, it is impossible to rely on public officials of a government whose top leader described as "Democracy" to a totalitarian dictatorship, it is impossible to believe that individuals linked to the mafias traditional "left", previously, in conservative governments, they used two or more cards, not repeat the practice, for a classified government by its members as "leftist." Hard to believe the bureaucrat who sang the praises of the new card correana.
But the possibility is not my Commander Juan, aka Gustavo Larrea, may have two, three or four new cards, referred to in this post, but on a device that would contain the new card. Electronic device, which would constitute a grave threat, for the implications against the rights, guarantees, and mainly the safety of civilians in Ecuador.
The tiny gadget that I reference is a chip that would included in the identity card. A tiny integrated circuit, through which "owners" of the state and its various institutions, they could easily know the location of the holder of the document, which would imply an attack on freedom, privacy and security of people.
I should note that the news surprised me, but what it does not surprise me was definitely finding that no politician of that Assembly represents the people. Any neo diputadillo denounced or repudiated the inclusion of the tracking device in every one of the certificates of the Ecuadorian? Ni one. Incredibly, the media have been limited to reporting the good news and not at all mentioned the potential risks and abuses that could result from this "security level" against civilians. Complicity, indolence or ignorance?, Who knows.
is very expressive of this society, the fact that the orthodox media, those generally known (for themselves) as "free press, independent and impartial," burst into cries for freedom and pay attention to complaints of a peddler's outrageous sports hacks who was banned from free admission to a football stadium; "Press" that has given all to the person who dared to respond to this controversial decision, insult and malice of a miserable day porter used to insult with impunity. "Press" corporate complains and claims where the right of shareholders to say what they please is at risk. That same "press" little or no say, when the rights of the children of the Village are violated, because so far I have not heard anything in the "free press" on the government's attempt to infiltrate Involution Citizen in the homes of Ecuadorians through the new card correana.
It is noteworthy to observe how, all it means "security" from the standpoint of the bureaucracy, the party-and the state is inevitably transformed into a loss of freedom for civilians. In fact, the "National Security" is the excuse that politicians and their business partners feral, used to develop the brutal terrorist state that allows them to conceal their crimes and thefts.
Civilians do not need to be monitored permanently by the mafias conservative or socialist shift in power, bureaucrats or profession, or in general for any state institution. That is not the role of the state, at least not to a state that relies on principles and foundations based on Justice, Truth and Freedom.
Unfortunately in Ecuador is going through a dark ages in terms of rights, mainly the civil rights we have to be Free. It is unfortunate such as listening to many people clamoring for the military patrolling the streets of the city. Not seem to mind to suffer the humiliation of be searched like common criminals by military personnel who are trained to work completely different from those duties to provide security to civilians in cities. Dangerously incompetent against corrupt governments to deal with crime, many people are willing to live martial regimes.
People must realize that civilians did not create a State for bureaucrats through the mafias that control prescriptions imposed on us leading questions about what supposedly best for us, or who intend to submit or repress through heinous state terrorism. Civilians do not need to be pursued through the eyes of a screen villain.
When society, with the story of National Security, inalienable rights are stolen, the civilians, it means that society is tyrannized by a totalitarian regime. That is the "dilemma", do you prefer Ecuadorian society?, Tyranny or Democracy. I personally stayed with the kindness and generous utopia of freedom.
